MENDELU InnovPrecMed Team Visits Three Consortium Institutions to Strengthen Collaboration and Technology Transfer

As part of ongoing activities within the InnovPrecMed project, a team from Mendel University in Brno carried out a series of institutional visits to three consortium partners: Fachhochschule Oberösterreich (Linz), Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Nanovesicular Precision Medicine (Salzburg) and Biology Centre of the Czech Academy of Sciences (České Budějovice).
The purpose of these visits was to deepen cooperation within the consortium, discuss key project objectives, and explore opportunities for joint development in innovation and technology transfer.
Strengthening KPIs and Project Implementation
Across all three institutions, the discussions focused on the current status of project KPIs, their fulfilment, and the next steps required for upcoming reporting periods. The partners jointly reviewed progress in activities related to scientific outputs, capacity building and stakeholder engagement.
Mentoring and Startup Support
The meetings also explored the consortium’s approaches to mentoring, entrepreneurship education, and support mechanisms for early-stage startups emerging from research environments. Partners shared examples of best practices and discussed the discussed both the current focus and future development of the InnovLeaders Mentoring Program.
Technology Transfer Development
A major topic throughout the visits was technology transfer — its structure, internal processes, communication strategies, and tools used by the respective institutions. The MENDELU team and partners exchanged experiences related to. The discussions provided valuable insights into different national approaches and institutional models of knowledge and technology transfer.
Future Collaboration and New Initiatives
All three visits resulted in concrete plans to enhance collaboration not only within InnovPrecMed, but also through future projects and joint initiatives. Opportunities were identified for cooperative proposal writing, training activities, and cross-institutional mentoring schemes.
