InnovPrecMed Group Mentoring Session Connected Students, Researchers and Innovation Experts

As part of the InnovLeaders Mentoring Programme, we successfully organized an online group mentoring session on 26 June 2026, focused on key topics that support the development of innovative ideas, start-ups, and research commercialization.

The session brought together 23 participants, including 8 students and 15 staff, providing an opportunity to learn from experienced mentors and discuss practical aspects of innovation and entrepreneurship.

The programme covered several essential areas for aspiring innovators and founders. Petr Mikuš (Faculty of Business and Economics, Mendel University in Brno) introduced participants to the fundamentals of pricing strategies and startup economics. Yazan Haddad (Faculty of AgriSciences, Mendel University in Brno) shared practical insights into startup financing and funding opportunities, while Jan Přenosil (Technology Transfer Office, Mendel University in Brno) explained the importance of intellectual property protection, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets.

The mentoring session combined expert knowledge with practical experience, allowing participants to gain valuable insights into transforming research results and innovative ideas into real-world impact.

The event forms part of the InnovLeaders Mentoring Programme, which provides students, researchers, and university staff with access to experienced mentors from academia and industry. Through mentoring, participants strengthen their entrepreneurial mindset, innovation skills, and understanding of technology transfer and commercialization, helping bridge the gap between research and practice.
